2023 Victor Oceania Para Badminton Championships

Congratulations to all the players that competed in the Victor Oceania Para Badminton Championships in Perth.
A special mention to those who train with SEA-Badminton:
- Mischa Ginns: winning the Women’s Singles WH1 + WH2 event, 21-6 & 21-6, and also, the Mixed Doubles WH1 + WH2 event, partnering with Lochan Cowper, winning 21-16 & 21-13.
- Qambar Ali Akhteyari: winning the Men’s Singles WH1 + WH2 event, 14-21, 21-19 & 22-20.
We wish all Australian players the best as they prepare for the Western Australia Para-Badminton International 2023, where players are arriving from 31 different Countries around the world !!!
Player Profile: Mischa Ginns
[Updated – April 2023]
Mischa is a dedicated member of SEA-Badminton. She is a professional para-badminton player and the current Oceania Champion in Wheelchair Sport Class 2 (WH2).
As of January 2023, Mischa is ranked 11 in the world. She is on-track to qualify for the Paris 2024 Paralympics and is working professionally towards this goal.
