A quick reminder that Term 4 begins tomorrow !
Note also the Victorian Premier’s announcement earlier in the week about the next round of the Get Active Kids Voucher Program – helping eligible families cover the costs of sports memberships, registration fees, uniforms and equipment. Once again, a reminder that SEA-Badminton is registered for the Get Active Kids Voucher Program, so if you are eligible, please apply for a voucher through the Victorian government’s website.

This is the last week of Term 2. Thank-you to all the athletes that have helped make the SEA-Badminton program a continued success.

Term 2 has now begun and it was great to see so many athletes returning to the courts.
Arising from change of staff at Badminton Victoria (BV), the sport’s State Sporting Organisation, we are also working closely with BV around future collaboration between SEA-Badminton and BV noting that SEA-Badminton was originally a joint venture between BV and SEA-Charity.

And so we have reached the end of Term 1, with this week’s session on Wednesday, 27 March 2024 being the last for the term before the Easter break.
We will resume on Wednesday, 17 April at 5:30 pm at Springers Leisure Centre at 400 Cheltenham Road, Keysborough VIC 3173. Just confirming that our times are 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm.
Please note also that Term 1 invoices are in the process of being issued. We also want to indicate in advance that due to cost pressures, our Term 2 Program fees will increase to $120.

Right into Term 4 now and so many activities before we finish with our last session being on Wednesday, 6 December 2023, which will complete two years of the SEA-Badminton program !!!

We are excited to announce an upcoming BBQ fundraiser event scheduled for Saturday, 11 November and Sunday, 12 November and we need your help to make it a roaring success !!!
We will be raising money for the SEA- Badminton Club to help subsidise events, Para- and National- players to compete at the 2024 Para- and Olympics in Paris.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday & Sunday, November 11th and 12th
Location: Bunnings Chadstone
We are seeking parent volunteers to assist us with their kids during this event to help cook and serve delicious sausages. Your help, even for just a 2-hour shift, will go a long way in supporting our cause.
Shifts run from: 8 am – 10 am; 10 am – 12 pm; 12 pm – 2 pm; 2 pm – 4 pm.

Just letting everyone know that Term 4 has commenced.
Sessions have resumed and continue on Wednesday nights starting at 5:30 pm at Springers Leisure Centre at 400 Cheltenham Road, Keysborough VIC 3173.
We have also begun to send invoices out to members. Please let us know if you have any questions, as we are still transitioning from manual to more automated processes (as well as updating our portal for the Badminton Victoria databases).

Just letting everyone know that Term 3 finishes this week for the “All Abilities Badminton Program”. The last session is this week on Wednesday night, 20 September 2023 starting at 5:30 pm at Springers Leisure Centre at 400 Cheltenham Road, Keysborough VIC 3173.
There will be a 1-week break next week as Springers Leisure Centre, which has a ‘whole-of-centre’ event. Term 4 will resume on Wednesday, 4 October 2023.
Fees for Term 3 are also due and you should have or will be getting an invoice shortly.

Just letting everyone know that Term 2 has started for the “All Abilities Badminton Program”. It remains on Wednesday, starting 5:30 pm at Springers Leisure Centre at 400 Cheltenham Road, Keysborough VIC 3173.
We now have a Membership Section that explains more about our Program Options. We also note that SEA-Badminton is registered as part of the “Get Active Victoria Program” so if your children are eligible, then definitely consider that option.

I am writing to let you all know that the “All Abilities Badminton Program”, which has operated successfully for most of 2022 at the Springers Leisure Centre at 400 Cheltenham Road, Keysborough VIC 3173, will recommence from tomorrow, Wednesday, 1 February 2023 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm.
There will be more information about membership options to come, including answers to questions around Badminton Victoria Membership numbers and competing for the Club. As SEA-Badminton is an accredited BV Club, the Club’s strategy is centred around 2 core focusses, being: 1) having fun through inclusion and participation (which forms the foundation principles of the Club); and 2) coaching and High Performance.
Also, Michelle Be, who you all know, has kindly agreed to return and continue to coach for the club (subject to availability) as Head of Coaching. She will be supported by Joseph Yeung, who many of you also know, as the Club’s Assistant Coach and Administration Officer.
